Donna Andersen is the author of Lovefraud.com (www.lovefraud.com), a website that teaches people how to recognize and recover from sociopaths. She is also the author of the recently released book, Love Fraud–How Marriage to a Sociopath Fulfilled my Spiritual Plan. She joins Amerika Now for the first 2 hours.
Andersen developed Lovefraud after realizing that her ex-husband was a sociopath. He defrauded her out of $227,000, left her in debt, cheated throughout their marriage, had a child with another woman and 10 days after Andersen left him, married the mother of the child. It was the second time he committed bigamy.
The real story, however, is in Andersen’s spiritual journey. Seeking to understand why her life was ravaged, Andersen developed an ability to channel spiritual guidance, and learned that her soul had planned the entire debacle. The object of the exercise was for her to experience and then release the devastating betrayal so that she could return to wholeness.
Her ex-husband, James Montgomery, had no conscience, no empathy, and lied prolifically, which Andersen learned, far too late, were the cardinal signs of a sociopath. Suspecting that other people were as unfamiliar with sociopaths as she once was, Andersen launched Lovefraud.com in 2005 to educate the public about this destructive personality disorder. It’s working.
Lovefraud.com now receives about 3,000 visits everyday, and readers often say the website is the best source on the Internet about sociopaths. Andersen has collected 2,000 cases of people targeted by sociopaths, and some share their experiences on her blog, which has evolved into a healing community for survivors. In fact, Andersen receives many e-mails and letters from people who thank Lovefraud for saving their lives.
Andersen’s prior career in journalism, advertising, and marketing communications helped her to create an effective website (www.lovefraud.com). She graduated summa cum laude from the Syracuse University S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, was the original Editor of Atlantic City Magazine, and operated her own boutique advertising business. Her portfolio includes multimedia scriptwriting, freelance magazine articles, newsletters, print ads, brochures, direct mail, press releases, radio commercials, website content, e-mail campaigns, white papers, and the starring role in the premiere episode of the new TV series, “Who the (Bleep) Did I Marry?” on the Investigation Discovery Network.
