JFK-UFO Connection: Bogus Documents or Unanswered Questions?: Recently the FBI opened a new website called “The Vault” that allows readers to view a variety of documents, including those on UFOs. While writing a book on JFK, history teacher William Lester used the Freedom of Information Act to get some previously classified documents, two of which were written by Kennedy on the same day, November 12, 1963, 10 days before his assassination. One of the memos was written to the CIA director asking for UFO files and the other memo was directed at NASA expressing an interest in cooperation with the former Soviet Union on mutual outer space activities.
