Slim, it’s the state everyone wishes his or her body was in. And it turns out there’s an actual state of slim: Colorado, the place that boasts the lowest obesity rate in America. Leading weight-loss expert Dr. James Hill will reveal how slender Coloradans get and stay the way and show you how you can achieve the same results–even if you live in Connecticut, California, or Canada!
If you’re someone who doubts you’ll ever reach your ideal weight, help and hope are here. In the three phases of the Colorado Diet, you’ll find out how to reignite, rebuild, and reinforce your body’s fat-burning engines so you develop a “Mile-High Metabolism,” one that’s keenly responsive to shifts in activity and diet. Once you learn the diet, you’ll be able to drop up to 20 pounds in just 8 weeks. Tune in to find out how to change your body so it’s primed to stay in a “state of slim” for the rest of your life.

Hour 2: Maureen Dawn Healy
Joining the show during the second hour is well-known author, speaker and healer, Maureen Dawn Healy, who will be discussing her new book, The Energetic Keys to Indigo Kids: Your Guide to Raising and Resonating With the New Children.
Indigo kids…we’ve been hearing about these children for some time. But it seems many of today’s children especially are being labeled as indigo children…those highly sensitive, unusually gifted, passionate yet defiant children who seem to have a mindset all of their own. So how can parents, teachers, and others learn to communicate better with these children to help guide them toward success with fewer challenges along the way?
Maureen joins me this evening to talk about helping indigo kids manage their lives better from a new vantage point…energy. She’ll talk about how these children operate in the world and how they think, how they make decisions, what they need, how they heal, and what triggers them.
From a whole new energetic perspective, The Energetic Keys to Indigo Kids is a groundbreaking book on how these children operate in the world–how they think, how they make decisions, what they need, how they heal, and what triggers them.
From this new vantage point, the energetic, adults can deepen their understanding of their sensitive children’s experience and guide them to manage their energy for more life success.

Hour 3: Dr. Ian Flitcroft
Author and vision scientist Dr. Ian Flitcroft joins the show during the final hour to discuss his recent book, Journey By Starlight: A Time Traveler’s Guide to Life, The Universe, and Everything.
Albert Einstein said his first ideas about relativity came from looking in the mirror as a teenager and wondering what it would be like to travel on a beam of light. Dr. Ian Flitcroft’s book, Journey By Starlight, follows Einstein and a traveling companion through space and time as they travel on a beam of light from a star 3,200 light-years away from Earth. Answering such questions as “What is Life,” “What is a Black Hole,” and “Where in the Galaxy Does It Rain Diamonds?” the book opens the world of physics up in a fun and sometimes humorous way. Written in graphic novel form, Journey By Starlight has the potential to open up physics and the realm of Einstein to unsuspecting comics fans.
Dr. Ian Flitcroft is a vision scientist and a consultant eye surgeon at the Children’s University Hospital in Dublin, Ireland. He received his doctorate in Visual Physiology at Oxford and then completed his medical training in London. Dr. Flitcroft is also the author of more than 30 scientific peer-reviewed papers and chapters in multi-authored books. His first book, The Reluctant Cannibals, was one of the winners of the Dublin Writers Center Novel Competition 2012. His latest book, Journey By Starlight, is based on his popular award-winning science blog by the same name, www.journeybystarlight.blogspot.com.
