All this and more…
(2) Jyotish and Devi
Joining the show during the second hour are Nayaswamis Jyotish and Devi, who will be discussing choosing the Light and raising our consciousness.
More than two-thirds of Americans are anxious about the future of the country, according to the American Psychological Association poll.
Paramhansa Yogananda (1893-1952) lived through two world wars and taught yoga, meditation, and practical ways to uplift consciousness in the U.S. during a time of great upheaval: WWII. Like Buddha, Ghandi, and the Dalai Lama, Yogananda taught universal spiritual truths. His best-selling book, Autobiography of a Yogi, sparked a spiritual revolution of yoga and meditation in the West.
If you could talk to Yogananda today, what would he say abou the challenges we face? Nayaswamis Jyotish and Devi are dynamic emissaries of Yogananda, bringing his teachings into focus for today.
“The challenge of our world and our lives is a precious spiritual opportunity. Let us raise our consciousness to the occasion,” say Jyotish and Devi. “By choosing the Light, we can lead the world to happiness.”
Nayaswamis Jyotish and Devi are Spiritual Directors of Ananda, a global movement of spiritual communities, centers, and meditation groups–people living the change they want to see in the world. Together, they inspire thousands to see challenges as previous spiritual opportunities. Live online and in person, the spiritual teachers will be offering the Light 2017 West Coast Tour to thousands gathering in the San Francisco Bay Area on April 1, Los Angeles on April 29, Seattle on June 9, and Portland on July 21.

(3) Corydon B. Dunham
Former Executive Vice President and General Counsel of NBC, First Amendment lawyer Corydon B. Dunham joins the show in the third hour to discuss freedom of the press and his book, Government Control of the News: A Constitutional Challenge.
The Founding Fathers of our country understood the importance of a free press; that it is essential to the security of the state and that no democracy can function without an informed citizenry. The First Amendment protects freedom of the press. Because of the overwhelming changes in media within the past 20 years, First Amendment values are more vital than ever to this country’s freedoms.
When news networks didn’t give in to former President Richard Nixon’s threats of an antitrust suit if their coverage of him didn’t become more favorable, the action brought by his Dept. of Justice hurt the networks and impeded the public’s ability to receive fair and impartial access to news.
Our current president’s actions threaten to do the same to public access to news. The FCC is developing regulation of the Internet and taking away the broadcast spectrum from the broadcast stations and transferring it to the Internet, which may cause many stations to go dark. This is serious news for the public and many people outside of Washington don’t understand the threat this imposes on access to information.
Cory Dunham will discuss the Fairness Doctrine and the FCC as well as how different presidents, including Nixon, JFK, Obama and now Trump, use government control of the news to attack our First Amendment rights.
