Earth Could be Unrecognizable by 2050, Experts Warn: A growing, more affluent population competing for ever scarcer resources could make for an “unrecognizable” world by 2050, researchers warned recently at the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS).
More people, more money and more consumption, but the same planet warned scientists at AAAS. They recommended governments start making changes now as to how food is produced, because incomes are expected to rise over the next 40 years and people tend to move up the food chain as their income rises, adding more strain to global food supplies.
