Sept 24, 2011 Show Archives/Podcasts Hour 1 – Hour 2 – Hour 3 – Hour 4
Malana Ashlie joins Amerika Now during the first half of the show to discuss Ancient Wisdom.
Malana is an author, naturopath, and holistic healer with a Ph.D. in Metaphysics. A scholar of ancient wisdom, Malana has been privileged to study with Mayan Elders, Hawaiian Kupuna, and teachers of Sacred Native American traditions. Exploring the mysteries has expanded her natural abilities and enhanced her awareness of other subtle energies. She melds all of these wisdoms in her consultations, and also leads personal and group retreats on the Caribbean Coast of Honduras.
Most people in America have too much stress in their lives, which can lead to diseases such as cancer. There is a focus on a deficit of traditions in the US as individuals are pushed to become achievers. Malana believes we need to understand our connection to these traditions in order to reconnect to our authetic self and heal within.

One of the world’s foremost authorities and researchers on ghosts and hauntings, Parapsychologist Loyd Auerbach joins the show during the second half to discuss Parapsychology for Ghost Hunters, his chapter in the newly released book, Ghosts, Spirits, and Hauntings: Am I Being Haunted?
Loyd is Director of the Office of Paranormal Investigations, and has been investigating cases of apparitions, hauntings, and poltergeists for more than 30 years. He has a graduate degree in parapsychology and a BA in cultural anthropology, and was recently appointed to the faculty of Atlantic University to teach and help develop a parapsychology MA program (scheduled to launch in the Fall of 2011 or Winter of 2012). His latest book, coauthored with psychic Annette Martin (who recently passed on in September 2011), is The Ghost Detectives’ Guide to Haunted San Francisco. Loyd is also the author of seven other books, including A Paranormal Casebook: Ghost Hunting in the New Millennium; Hauntings and Poltergeists: A Ghost Hunter’s Guide; and Ghost Hunting: How to Investigate the Paranormal. His first book, ESP, Hauntings, and Poltergeists: A Parapsychologist’s Handbook, now out of print, was dubbed “the sacred text on ghosts” by Newsweek in 1996.
Loyd is an adjunct professor at JFK University and teaches parapsychology at HCH Institute, both in Northern California. He’s currently on the advisory boards of the Rhine Research Center, the Windbridge Institute, and the Forever Family Foundation. His media resume is impressive. He has appeared on hundreds of national and local TV shows and thousands of other venues since the early 1980s. He is also a professional mentalist and psychic entertainer, performing as “Professor Paranormal.” This part of his background has made him indispensible during field investigations as well as to researchers concerned about fraud and proper controls in the lab. As of late 2009, he added the skill of professional chocolatier to his repertoire, and began selling his first chocolate products in late 2010 at www.hauntedbychocolate.com.
Visit his paranormal network website at www.mindreader.com.
Loyd will also be part of an upcoming Parapsychology and Consciousness Conference being held October 14-16 at Edgar Cayce’s A.R.E. Call 800-428-1212 or visit AtlanticUniv.edu/parapsychologyconference for information or to register.
