Hour 1: Peter Fairfield
Joining Amerika Now during the first hour of the show is renowned healer, Eastern journeyer, teacher, and author Peter Fairfield, who will discuss his latest book, DEEP HAPPY: How to Get There and Always Find Your Way Back.
There is happy; and then there is “Deep Happy.” Most of us experience happy in transient moments—watching a sunset, the first flush of love, breathing in nature, being hugged by someone whose approval we seek or getting something we have long wanted. But is that really happiness? And what about the rest of the time? Do you live your life in a profound sense of UN-happiness—seeking to find more of that high—and instead suffering, worrying, wallowing.
Wouldn’t you like to experience a deeper, peaceful, and satisfying Happiness that is always inside you? Now you can. Renowned healer, Eastern journeyer and teacher Peter Fairfield shows you how to find it, KEEP connected to IT and live from that place.
“Everybody wants to be happy, nobody wants to be in pain, and everybody suffers,” says Fairfield. “Whether you call it stress reduction, pain management or spiritual transformation, we need to begin to experience the world through our emotions, not be disconnected from them. They have much to tell us.”
DEEP HAPPY is also about listening to our bodies and the Universe. A very real part of us is beneath the ebb and flow of the outer experience. An inner part of us is already experiencing this deeper, peaceful place that is at the center of who we are. Fairfield maintains it is easy to find that well of peace and joy and will discuss how to find that place of peace and joy and stay there. He will show how true joy and connection are attainable for each and everyone of us.
Fairfield–who has extensively studied western science and the spiritual and healing systems in Nepal, Tibet, India, Thailand, and China–absorbed much from Taoist and Qigong traditions, and worked with many great Tibetan Lamas and yogis. He offers stories of his spiritual adventures around the world to illustrate what is possible for anyone willing to follow their own heart. Fairfield–whose diverse resume includes working with Moroccan Sufis, the doctor to the King of Bhutan, and being the natural healer/acupuncturist of choice for stars of the music and entertainment business including some of the world’s leading pop, rock and film figures — is a gentle teacher who uses his own colorful and often-other worldly experiences to point us down a road to our own DEEP HAPPY.

Hour 2: Harold Wright (Kathy Ross)
Joining the show during the second hour is Harold Wright, the husband of Kathleen Ross, author of Bound By Destiny. Harold will be “filling in” for his wife, Kathy, who is ill and unable to do the interview. Harold’s story is a major part of the book, and relays the message of how we are all “Bound by Destiny.” Harold knows this well, as he was Kathy’s suitor in a past life.
Kathleen Ross is a mother of three, step-mother of four, and an intuitive counselor specializing in the Tarot, past life regression, and shamanic healing. She has also been a feature writer and columnist for several newspapers, a singer-songwriter, a shopkeeper, a craftsperson, a renovator, an herbalist and an advocate for preventative medicine. She now lives a quiet existence in rural Ontario with her husband Harold.
Kathy’s story has been waiting to be told for many centuries. Through her 37-year practice of meditation she has been able to remember over 20 of her past lives. At an advanced meditation course she met a lawyer whom she recognized from a past life but because of their circumstances of being already married with children they could not easily choose to be together. This mirrored many past lives where they were faced with similar obstacles. Although her story is a love story, it is also a story of spiritual transformation, seeing a much larger picture than just the here and now and also having the courage to choose an authentic life against all odds.
Part memoir and part spiritual essay, Bound By Destiny is first and foremost a love story. In an alternating chapter format, author Kathleen Ross takes the reader upon an extraordinary journey of discovery, weaving a present life search for happiness and love with detailed accounts of lives lived before. Incredibly, issues left unresolved in past lives resurface in subsequent lives in a continuum towards resolution. With a broad arc, Bound By Destiny addresses many of the perennial questions posed by any seeker of ultimate truth––do we live more than once? Why do I love this person? Why must I suffer as I do? Kathleen’s story, told with unflinching honesty, sheds light on these fundamental questions. Her journey is everyone’s journey. It is a love story that has been destined for all time.
