Joining the show during the first half as an official representative of Imre Vallyon is William von Holst.\u00a0 William received his M.A. from the University of Illinois at Urbana\/Champaign in Philosophy and Art History.\u00a0 He received a scholarship from the University of Chicago Ph.D. Divinity program, but decided against accepting it.\u00a0 He had studied under many teachers throughout the 1970s and early 1980s, including Ram Dass and Elizabeth Claire Prophet.\u00a0 In 1986, William met Imre Vallyon and has, for the past 24 years, worked with Imre in New Zealand, Europe, Canada, and the United States.\u00a0 He has taught during retreats and conducts various classes throughout the Bay Area of California focusing on Imre\u2019s spiritual teachings.<\/p>\n

William will be discussing Imre Vallyon\u2019s latest book, The Spiritual Warrior:\u00a0 365 Aphorisms of the Spiritual Warrior <\/strong><\/em>as well as discussing what it means to be a spiritual warrior.<\/p>\n

Since 1980 Imre Vallyon has dedicated his life to teaching the Wisdom Science through his extensive writings and through workshops and retreats conducted around the world.\u00a0 In 1982 he established the Foundation for Higher Learning, an international Spiritual School designed to provide people with the opportunity to practice spiritual awakening in a group environment, with the ultimate goal of self-realization and planetary transformation.\u00a0 In 2008 Imre won the Ashton Wylie Charitable Trust Book Award for his four-volume treatise Heavens and Hells of the Mind<\/em>, which was described as \u201ca remarkable and exhaustive work on human consciousness and the wisdom of the ages.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hours 3-4:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/strong>Joining Amerika Now during hours 3 and 4 is Jeffrey David Payne, author of Far from the War<\/strong><\/em>, a cautionary tale about political extremism and the true cost of war.\u00a0 Tonight he’ll be discussing the Occupy Wall Street movement and its relation to possible tyranny and how a civil war in America might develop.<\/p>\n

The possibility of a modern-day civil war seems to grow more resonant every day as pundits and political leaders begin to talk openly of widespread civil unrest and the possibility of new political violence in America.\u00a0 Although the book deals with a dark subject, the story is ultimately about how love and family serve as a refuge when nations and economies fail.<\/p>\n

The author began by writing a fictional history of a civil war in America and its causes, but quickly realized that what he was speculating was beginning to become true.\u00a0 He speculated that a US sovereign credit rating downgrade and the shifting of commodity futures contracts, oil futures in particular, away from the dollar into other currencies would trigger a depression and destabilize the country enough for a civil war.\u00a0 Obviously others are also upset about what has been happening in America on the economic scene, and Jeffrey will talk about how his book also foretells of events similar to Occupy Wall Street.\u00a0 As a result of writing the book, Payne was forced to re-examine his own political identity.<\/p>\n

Jeffrey David Payne began writing at age seven when his work was selected for the Missouri young Authors Conference.\u00a0 Since that time, he studied Mathematics at DePaul University, Nuclear Engineering at the Naval Nuclear Power School, and co-founded a software company whose technology provides logistics support for some of the hottest entertainment properties in the world.\u00a0 His technical writing has been featured in several prominent journals and a play he wrote, Transition Team<\/em>, was selected for the 2007 Kansas City Playwrights Festival.\u00a0 He is a member of the Pacific Northwest Writers Association and lives in Seattle with his wife and son.<\/p>\n
