Show Archive – Podcast Hour 1<\/a> – Hour 2 <\/a>– Hour 3<\/a> – Hour 4<\/a><\/h3>\nWeb Bot Technology <\/span><\/em><\/strong> <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\nIn June 2001 I began to correspond with a reader of my website who said he was willing to share access to a promising new web technology, on the condition that I protect his identity. The person related that he had been a very senior programmer with a software company in the Pacific Northwest (you can guess which company, right?) and besides being a SQL ace, he was also heavily into linguistics and a language called Prolog, which is more like an artificial intelligence language than anything else. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\nI was skeptical, to be sure, but a few days after we began the email exchange of ideas, he sent me a program he had written that allows a computer to be turned into speed reading tool. It was based on rapidly displaying individual words on a computer screen. He said this was a technology that he had developed and sold for a while on the Internet. He also explained how the development rights to the technology had been sold to a company ( <\/span>www.ebrainspeed.com<\/span><\/span><\/a> ). In essence, after looking up the patent he held for the technology, I was convinced that this fellow was for real and might be on to something with the method of looking for linguistic shift on the Internet as a tool to forecast future events.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\nHe described how technology worked. A system of spiders, agents, and wanderers travel the Internet, much like a search engine robot, and look for particular kinds of words. It targets discussion groups, translation sites, and places were regular people post a lot of text. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\nWhen a “target word” was found, or something that was lexically similar, the web bots take a small 2048 byte snip of surrounding text and send it to a central collection point. The collected data at times approached 100 GB sample sizes and we could have used terabytes. The collected data was then filtered, using at least 7-layers of linguistic processing in Prolog, which was then reduced to numbers and then a resultant series of scatter chart plots on multiple layers of Intellicad ( <\/span>http:\/\/www.cadinfo.net\/icad\/icadhis.htm<\/span><\/span><\/a> ). Viewed over a period of time, the scatter chart points tended to coalesce into highly concentrated areas. Each dot on the scatter chart might represent one word or several hundred. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\nTo define meanings, words or groups of words have to be reduced to their essence. You know how lowest common denominators work in fractions, right? Well the process is like looking for least common denominators among groups of words.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\nThe core of the technology therefore is to look at how the scatter chart points cluster – condensing into high “dot density” areas which we call “entities” and then dissolving or diffusing over time as the entities change. Do a drill down into a dot and you get a series of phrases…<\/span><\/span><\/p>\nOur first published work in the area occurred in early July of 2001 and is available at <\/span>http:\/\/www.urbansurvival.com\/tip.htm<\/span><\/span><\/a>. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n
<\/a>So, What is ‘UrbanSurvival”?<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\nWe’ve been asking the same thing…UrbanSurvival started as my MBA capstone project in 1995-96 while at the same time actively participating in the University of Colorado’s Center for a Sustainable Future’s Long Wave Economics (“Longwaves”) discussion group. The group focused on the work of <\/span>Nikolai Kondratiev<\/span><\/span><\/a> (sometimes spelled Kondratieff). He’s credited with discovery of 48-64-year cycles in the economy that were traced back to the 1200’s in Europe via grain prices.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\nThis site tries to achieve three purposes: Evolution of the capstone project, focusing on web-direct marketing test platform for clients (in a sense I experiment on my own dime, not client money) and it provides an important alternative to the “me-too” corporate\/government mainstream news media (MSM), also referred as the “corpgov” arm of the PowersThatBe, that gives pathetically disjointed \/ shallow coverage of the subtle complexities weaving all aspects of business and financial news into the human drama. As delivered by the MSM, news is a drone of ‘data points’. I’m committed to connecting groups of dots, wherever possible.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\nThis site is not overtly<\/span> political, except insofar as the Western Capitalistic paradigm doesn’t have ready answers to what happens when 7-billion humans reach the limit of the planet’s carrying capacity. Fortunately, when I put on my thinking cap, there are plenty of alternatives, though, and these are shared first with subscribers to one of my other sites: www.peoplenomics.com<\/span><\/a> which has a large enough subscriber based that it offsets the costs of this project.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\nWhile the longer term outlook reflected here smacks of such landmark works as Robert Kaplan’s book “The Coming Anarchy” and James Kunstler’s “The Long Emergency,” UrbanSurvival’s goal is to try and put day-to-day news items into a workable and actionable perspective such that a long-term investor might react thoughtfully to events – often in advance of their occurrence. How can you do that, you’re wondering?<\/span><\/span><\/p>\nWe have friends who have developed a groundbreaking predictive technology which we simply call “web bot” technology developed by Clif of <\/span>www.halfpasthuman.com<\/span><\/span><\/a>. Should be an interesting time. The doctor told the people that the disease was caused by germs. Viruses were not known at that time or they would have been. Germs. bacteria and viruses, along with bacilli and a few other invisible organisms are the scapegoats which the doctors like to blame for the things they do not understand. If the doctor makes a wrong diagnosis and treatment, and kills the patient, he can always blame it on the germs, and say the patient didn’t get an early diagnosis and come to him in time.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\nIf we check back in history to that 1918 flu period, we will see that it <\/span><\/span>suddenly struck just after the end of World War I when our soldiers were returning home from overseas. That was the first war in which all the known vaccines were forced on all the servicemen. This mish-mash of poison drugs and putrid protein of which the vaccines were composed, caused such widespread disease and death among the soldiers that it was the common talk of the day, that more of our men were being killed by medical shots than by enemy shots from guns. Thousands were invalided home or to military hospitals, as hopeless wrecks, before they ever saw a day of battle. The death and disease rate among the vaccinated soldiers was four times higherthan among the unvaccinated civilians.<\/span> But this did not stop the vaccine promoters. Vaccine has always been big business, and so it was continued doggedly.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\nIt was a shorter war than the vaccine-makers had planned on, only about a year for us, so the vaccine promoters had a lot of unused, spoiling vaccines left over which they wanted to sell at a good profit. So they did what they usually do, they called a meeting behind closed doors, and plotted the whole sordid program, a nationwide (worldwide) vaccination drive using all their vaccines, and telling the people that the soldiers were coming home with many dread diseases contracted in foreign countries and that it was the patriotic duty of every man, woman and child to get “protected” by rushing down to the vaccination centers and having all the shots.

\nMost people believe their doctors and government officials, and do what they say. The result was, that almost the entire population submitted to the shots without question, and it was only a matter of hours until people began dropping dead in agony, while many others collapsed with a disease of such virulence that no one had ever seen anything like it before.
